Extra Care for Large-Format Prints
When a lifestyle, family, or portrait photograph is printed at a large scale, even the smallest details become more visible. A tiny skin imperfection or subtle detail that may be virtually unnoticeable on a screen or in a smaller print can become much more apparent at poster size.
For large-format prints, we carefully review the final image at its intended print size and, when necessary, apply an additional round of professional retouching specifically for large-scale presentation.
It’s one final touch to make sure your photograph looks its best — not only on screen, but beautifully printed at the size you choose.
Every Print Deserves Its Own Preparation
A photograph that looks beautiful on screen may require a different approach when it becomes a physical print. Paper, canvas, metal, acrylic, and other materials each reproduce color, contrast, brightness, and fine detail differently.
That’s why prints ordered through our Print Center are individually prepared for the selected material and size. When needed, we make print-specific adjustments to color, brightness, contrast, sharpening, and other fine details to help preserve the character and quality of the original photograph.
Digital files printed through an outside lab may still produce beautiful results, but because we cannot control their printing process, materials, color profiles, or final adjustments, the result may differ from the image as we originally intended it to be seen.
By ordering your prints directly through us, you’re not simply ordering a print — you’re receiving the final, carefully prepared version of the photograph, from capture to finished piece.
